Suzi Peel


As the Executive Director of SPHERE: Simple Public Health & Environment Resources for Education, Suzi is a catalyst at the intersection of health, education, and new technologies for health communication.  She works with the UN Foundation and mHealth Alliance program delivering health information and education throughout India and Africa via mobile phones to reduce child and parent mortality rates.  In her work she focuses addressing all aspects of global public health that need special low literacy solutions such as TB, malaria, clean water, and safe motherhood.  Peel will speak on how low literacy rates manifest in poverty and poor health outcomes and the new communication tools being developed to share life-saving information with those populations.
